This Pregnant Body

Pearl
, only a few more weeks and you'll be in the home stretch: your third trimester! In the last few weeks of your second trimester, you are probably feeling a little tired, a little hungry, and a little uncomfortable much of the time. I can only tell you that the joy that your newborn brings will make all of these hurdles of pregnancy seem inconsequential. (You really have to trust me on this one!)

If you are having a tough time thinking of what to have for dinner, here are some delicious and nutritious recipes that are so easy to prepare, may even make them (hint, hint).

Your Baby

Your baby weighs a little under 10.5 ounces, measures about 7.6 inches from head to rump, and is growing eyelashes and eyebrows. These two latest developments will be a key method of communicating his or her happiness, frustration, confusion, or interest.

Your To-Do List

Pearl
, choosing a pediatrician is one of the most important medical decisions you'll make. If you don't already have one, selecting the person who will see you through all the new-parent worries, baby fevers, immunizations, colds and coughs can be overwhelming.

This week's list will tell you what to look for; help determine your comfort level with the doctor, the office setting, and his or her philosophy; as well as recognize your own needs.

Your Journal Entry

Make sure that during your pregnancy you schedule some fun. The happier you are, the more enjoyable the experience and your memories of pregnancy will be. In your journal this week, write about some ways you have had fun being pregnant; if you can't think of anything, then now is the time to get creative and have a little fun!

A Quote Worth Repeating

"Live and work but do not forget to play, to have fun in life and really enjoy it."

- Eileen Caddy

Tips From Other Moms

Say yes to those offers of help. Let your friends and relatives pick up a few things at the market for you or run simple errands. Your energy at this time needs to be focused on growing your baby. Use this time to take people up on their offers to help you. You can always return the favor at another time in the future.

This Week's E-Poll

Are you drinking a lot more water?

Until next week...
